Consent of the Governed
Police and judges are important parts of a well-functioning society. They don't, however, govern by fiat. The justice system is an extension of the values and norms that the society has chosen for itself.
Silence
We are surrounded by silence. In the gaps between heartbeats, the breaths between words, the pauses between movements, silence rushes in, filling the void. It is the dark matter of our world, the blank page on which we write our lives. It is where we find God.
Life, as prayer
Human beings create. We take raw materials provided by the Earth and fashion them into what we need them to be, to fill gaps in the world that we recognise need to be filled. This recognition is prayer.
